In 1969 - Apollo 10 returns to Earth after a successful eight-day test of all the components needed for the forthcoming first crewed Moon landing.

In 1972 - Weather Report releases "I Sing the Body Electric"


- Mott The Hoople, on the verge of breaking up, are offered help from David Bowie, who allows them to record two songs he wrote. They pass on "Suffragette City" but cut "All The Young Dudes," which becomes their biggest hit and revives their career.


In 1978 - David Gilmour releases "David Gilmour"


In 1986 - Europe releases "The Final Countdown"

In 1987 - The Cure releases "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me"
