Leaving February 17

Monday was kindov a long and busy day... I'm just now finishing the post for Febraury 20 at 7am on Tuesday the 18th. Gwarbar was ok, but I was busier than I had hoped I would be. Isn't that always the way? I listened to this:

After work I came home and found some books I ordered by my door.

I took a nap for about 2 hours. I got up and watched an episode of Orson Welles' Great Mysteries ("In the Confessional"). I caught last call at the bar. Then I came back home watched the latest episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. (Which reminds me that one of Blair's friends made a bunch of "FUCK ICE" patches and buttons. Each one was different. I like the button I ended up with. I didn't take a patch.

...Which reminds me that last night I did a search for Carry Nation and finally found a copy of that poster my Mom used to have that used to freak me out as a kid.)

I wish I could find a better copy of it than this cropped version. The original photo is of Carry Nation's grandson holding the poster and his hands cover up the border, so I cropped it. Anyway, that was my 17th of February, and so begins the Year of the Fire Horse.
(In addition to the animals, the calendar also cycles through five elements — wood, fire, earth, metal and water — which change every two years. That is what makes the Fire Horse especially rare. While the horse appears every 12 years, the specific pairing of horse and fire only occurs once in a 60-year cycle.) So... Good Morning. I'm going to bed for a bit. Hopefully I can manage to get some errands done today (if I don't sleep too long). Here's what I listened to intermittently while working on the blog.

Bye for now.
