Leaving January 1
I realized that I put myself in a bind by deciding to do this blog. I stayed up all night in order to just put out the post for January 1. It took me a good 4 or 5 hours to get it done. Then I slept for about 4 or 5 hours before waking up and making some coffee and a meal of black eyed peas and cornbread. Ya know, for good luck. Eventually I checked in on the Google IT Support class on Coursera that I'm taking (rather half-assedly I must admit). Looking ahead I saw the heading "Accelerate Your Job Search with AI" and being a little anxious I Googled "IT Support jobs without AI" and spent about 30 minutes reading a subreddit where someone had already asked this question. Only to see people just trading insults. One person made an intelligent and logical case for why AI should only be used minimally. They were followed by comments of "Luddite!" . Well it's the 6th course anyway, and I haven't finished the first course yet, so I will save my worry for if and when I make it that far in the class. I went ahead and set up the posts for the 2nd and most of the 3rd. I took a little nap and finished episode 147 of Weird Studies with the remainder of my black eyed peas and cornbread. I keep having problems with the sound on my laptop. It keeps wanting to cut out and I have to disable and re-enable and restart. Windows really wants me to install Windows 11 too. Hopefully I can find time to get to it over the weekend.
Speaking of the weekend. This is happening on Saturday, January 3rd.

I will be taking off from work early in order to be there with all my pals. Maybe I'll see you there? I hope so.
When I signed up to start this blog, I realized that I had started another blog (never posted) a few years ago and it had mediafire links to some old stuff I did years ago that I thought was forever lost. Over the next week or so I will be putting that stuff up on my YouTube channel.
Well...that's all I got for now. Gonna lie down and read a chapter of Man's Fate by André Malraux (A 1933 novel about the failed Communist uprising in Shanghai in 1927.)
See you tomorrow!
